Benefit Lolli-tint ♡

(Get it here)

Lets talk about one of my favourite lip products today; Lolli-tint by Benefit! I love Benefit, its one of my favourite makeup brands, and their products never fail to impress me. Benefit describes Lollitint in these words: "Our candy-orchid tint treats lips & cheeks to a “pop” of dreamy sweetness. It’s the flirtiest flush you can get from a bottle…and its smudge-proof, smooch-proof color lasts from A.M. to P.M. Talk about stain power!"

I have to admit, I fell in love with the Lolli-tint even before using it, because of the sweet packaging. Both the box and the bottle are adorable. The bottle is a metallic pink colour, which has little polkadots and lollipops all over, how cute?! When you open the bottle, the applicator is like a nail polish brush. I didn't know how I felt about that at first, but I really don't mind it.

Lolli-tint is very long-lasting, and stays put for the entire day. So you don't have to worry about re-applying it every other hour. Plus, it doesn't come off without a fight, even while taking of my makeup at night, I have a difficult taking it off. I absolutely adore the unique blue toned lilac pink colour of this tint. The colour is not too purple or pink, but its a perfect blend of both. I also love how the colour looks gorgeous on all skin tones.

The soft (or not so soft, if you're layering it) lilic-pink colour looks really flattering on your cheeks and lips. The tint itself, is quite pigmented. So if you're going for a subtle natural look, you should apply a small amount. The thing I love most about this is that it is very versatile, because you can use this for both, a natural everyday look or a bold statement look. With using two or three coats of this on your lips and applying a layer of clear lipgloss on top, you can get the perfect bold lip.

The only problem I have with Lolli-Tint and all the other Benefit tints, is that they have to be blended really quickly, because they dry up immediately. However, that does not change the fact that I absolutely love this tint and almost everything about it.

Summer Goals 2014

I thought of some goals for myself, to make this summer a productive and enjoyable one. Here is a list of all my summer goals:

  1.  Eat healthy and join a gym: I plan on losing weight this summer, which I'm going to do by working out regularly and eating healthy.
  2. Yoga: Doing yoga, will not only help me lose weight, but it will also help me relax.
  3. Read 10 books: I plan on reading 5 classic novels, and 5 other ones of my choice. Any suggestions?
  4. Keep a journal: I've already started doing this, and I'm going to be consistent and write in it everyday. I really love keeping a journal, it makes me think clearer and writing about my thoughts and feelings, makes me feel 'free' and cheers me up.
  5. Focus more on skincare, and less on makeup: Lately, my skin has been breaking out a lot, and me being lazy when it comes to my skincare routine makes my skin even worse. Thats why, I really need to start being more regular with taking care of my skin, and I might even treat myself to a facial, since my skin is in need of one.
  6. Work on being more confident: I really do lack confidence, for example, I never raise my hand in class and I rarely get out of my comfort zone. However, I plan on changing this, and developing more confidence.
  7. Staying Positive: I'm going to start looking at the positive sides of things, and change my state of mind and thinking to a positive one (you can read my post on staying positive here).
  8. Work on being a 'happier' person: This just means, not getting angry, sad or hurt easily, and simply being happy. Staying positive will help with this.
  9. Start writing my book: I have a lot of story ideas, that I want to start writing in book form.
  10. Start song writing, and learn how to sing: I enjoy writing songs and singing. I'm not very good at singing though, therefore I downloaded a singing program that I want to start doing.
  11. Learn how to play the guitar: I took guitar lessons many moons ago, and now I want to start learning how to play again, but this time I'm going to teach myself.
  12.  Move to a new house
  13. Online shop
  14. Take an online astronomy course: I've always loved astronomy, and I really want to study it, so I was thinking of taking an online course.
  15. Get Math Tuitions: I'm terrible at math, and I'm desperately in need of math tuitions, that can help me get through next year's math.
  16. Start watching a new tv show
  17. Drink A lot of Water: I drink a total of 2 glasses of water a day, which is not even close to how much I should drink, and I need to make that 2 into at least 8.
  18. Get Outside: I'm always inside the house, but this summer I'm going to make it a rule, for me to go out for a walk/run, or just sit in the garden every now and then.
  19. Spend time with my friends
  20. Listen to new and different music: I've been exploring different genres of music, and now, I've started listening to a lot of upbeat indie music, some EDM stuff, and a couple of pop-punk/rock bands. I've mostly been listening to mixes on 8tracks, and thats also where I get most of my music from nowadays.
  21. Stop caring so much
  22. Relax: After all the stress that school, homework, exam e.t.c have caused, I need to also take it easy, catch up on my sleep and do nothing sometimes. Because, sometimes doing nothing is healthy. :p
  23. Learn foreign languages
  24. Star gaze
  25. Blog more often
I hope you enjoyed this post, tell me what your summer goals are in the comments.

My Dreamy Fort ♡

Hello,
I took a little blog break, due to my exams, and now I'm back to blogging yay!  So... today I built a fort! It was inspired by Frilly and Fancy's DIY video on how to transform your room into a fort (you can watch it  here). I loved the idea of making a fort, It sounded perfect, because I love giving my room a makeover every now and then, and a fort seemed like something I would like to add to my room, since I love cute and girly things, and a girly fort seemed like the perfect fit. Unfortunately, I couldn't turn my entire room in to a fort (I would if I could), so I decided to turn part of my room into a cosy and cute fort!

I'm very happy with the result, I never thought I could make a fort myself, because I'm terrible with all things DIY, but I decided to give it a try anyway, and surprisingly I succeeded! I made a really simple fort, using a white cloth, some thread to connect the cloth with the nails (which were already hammered into my walls), and bobby pins to stick the lights on the cloth with. Inside, I put a bunch of pastel coloured blankets and pillows, and of course my plush. I also put a couple of books in, along with water, snacks, headphones and my laptop.

It was so much fun making it and now I can just sit in my adorable fort and do whenever I want.  If you've had a bad day or if you're really tired, this is the perfect place to de-stress. It looks so cute, and I feel really carefree sitting in it.

Even though it may seem a bit childish, I think its a great idea, its a really cozy sitting area, and just by looking at it, I feel happy. I'm not sure how long this fort will stay, maybe a week, a month or longer. But, all I can see is that I'm really pleased with it, I think it's a great addition to my room, and it was fairly simple to make. Thank you kalel, for the wonderful idea.

Me-Time ♡

First of all, I want to apologise for not posting a lot lately, i've been really busy with school and other stuff, so sadly I didn't get time to blog.  I will go on a one month blog break, because my finals are in May, and its about time that I get serious, so I will start blogging regularly again, sometime in May, after my exams are over.

I've been really stressed lately, because of my exams, my sleeping habits have been whack, and I'm also really exhausted, because I've had to go to the dentist every second or third day for the past two weeks, for all sorts of dental related things, I'm getting braces pretty soon and that's why. I had and have to get all sorts of painful things done. The whole idea of going to the dentist and getting all of these dental procedures done, which I've never done before, is pretty stressful. I worry and think too much, and this has really been bothering me and stressing me out, it might sound really lame, but its true. So, I thought I would give my self a break from worrying, and just relax. My spring break just started, and I thought this was the perfect time to unwind a little, before going back to studying and stressing.

I started 'Me Time by pampering my self. I wiped my makeup off, and put on a face and hair mask, followed by the Clinique clarifying lotion, and a simple moisturiser (the brand Simple :p) for my face and an overnight repair serum for my hair. Put on the bubblegum lip scrub from Lush, and afterwards the No7 Protect and Perfect lip care, used my lovely EOS hand cream, and then put on my lovely Bath and Body Works body lotion. I also love lighting a candle, and spraying my Sleep by Boots room spray, and the Sleep pillow spray on my pillow, it does a great job at creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. After all of this, I like spending a good amount of time, painting my nails.

Its really important to be comfortable, so I wore my pjs and a loose knit. The perfect way to get your mind off something, is to read a nice book; it takes you to this whole other world and/or state of mind, if its a good book. You also forget all about whats going on around you, which honestly feels great at times. I'm reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (the second time), which I bet you've read or heard about. This is definitely one of those lovely books, that you can't put down. In conclusion, I think reading a book and drinking a cup of milk tea (or any tea), is the best way to relax.

Next up, I like listening to music, I've recently discovered this amazing site called 8tracks, and I've been spending a lot of time on it, there are so many great playlists on 8tracks, theres a playlist for everything! I also like going on Tumblr, I spend A LOT of time on Tumblr scrolling through my dashboard, reblogging stuff (My Tumblr). I also like watching shows, like Pretty Little Liars, Once Upon A Time, Modern Family, The Carrie Diaries e.t.c, to relax.

I make my bed as cozy as possible, I do this, by turning on my fairy lights, putting some cute pillows and having my adorable plush by my side (don't judge me, its super adorable).

I would love to know what you do during your 'me time', what shows you watch, and what books you are reading atm (I'm a nosy person like that :3) Also, leave your tumblr urls in the comments if you want, I would love to check them out :3 (PS I'm sorry for rambling :p).
